Mark A. O'Neal, CPL - Chief Executive Officer
Mark O'Neal is one of the most respected Landman professionals with a 35+ year track record of success in the Landman industry. He is a Certified Professional Landman and is expert in all phases of land work including negotiating for acquisition of property, oil and gas leases, rights-of-way agreements, settlements for damage and farmout agreements. He is experienced in the preparation of abstracts of title, mineral histories, title research, lease checks, state lands research, conservation research, title curative, environmental site assessment, and well site locations. Mark is professionally active. He is past Chairman of the membership committee of the American Association of Professional Landmen, has served on the organization’s Board of Directors multiple times, and was a trustee of the AAPL Scholarship Trust. Mark was also a charter member and the first President of the Baton Rouge Association of Professional Landmen. He was honored as Outstanding Landman of the Year in 1991. Mark is a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.
Sharon Hill - Chief Financial Officer/Human Resources Director
Sharon Hill is a financial professional who has advised corporations, private businesses and governmental agencies for over 25 years. She joined the MAO team in 1996 and has developed the financial reporting and internal accounting systems of the company. She currently serves as Chief Financial Officer and Human Resources Manager. Sharon directs all financial and human resource functions and is an expert in financial forecasting, cost benefit analysis, and project management. She is a key member of the Executive Team. Sharon is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.
Joshua Andrews, CPL - OPERATIONS MANAGER
In his 13 years with MAO, Joshua has developed extensive knowledge and experience in lease acquisitions, title curative, and abstracting in North and South Louisiana in addition to his time spent as project manager in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Mississippi, and Ohio. He is responsible for the organization of title support, curative, leasing, abstracting, and any and all day-to-day operations. Joshua is dedicated to providing our clients with the best possible product, while focusing on time management, cost control, and the MAO team's overall commitment to success. Joshua is a Certified Professional Landman who graduated from McNeese State University and is an active member of the American Association of Professional Landmen and the Baton Rouge Association of Professional Landmen.
John Bullock, CPL - OPERATIONS MANAGER
John Bullock, an experienced landman, has widespread knowledge in the industry with over 10 years of experience in abstracting, leasing, curative, due diligence and more. As Operations Manager, John controls the everyday ins and outs the industry can generate by managing personnel, project workload, and productivity. John has been a member of the MAO team since 2008 and in that time has worked in Louisiana, Colorado, Arkansas, New Mexico, Utah, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Texas, Mississippi and surrounding areas. John is a Certified Professional Landman as well as a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL), the Denver Association of Professional Landmen (DAPL), and the Northern Appalachian Landman’s Association (NALA).
